Mary's monastery of the hermits" wished "to serve God and the
holy Mother of God day and night". And so a shrine of Our Lady was
founded. Many pilgrims from all over the world came to this shrine. The
statue of the "Black Madonna" in the Chapel of our Lady is the
centre of the pilgrimage.
